As you might remember, Humanature Studios were able to reach their 400,000 USD Kickstarter goal for “ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove” back in March last year (the game has managed to collect over 500,000 USD in total since then). Well, guess what? Just now we received an e-mail from Adult Swim Games who informed us that “ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove” is coming to PC (Steam) and console in 2017. And not only that, Adult Swim Games told us this as well:
“Hungry for more? Experience the first playable demo at the Adult Swim Games Arcade at PAX West on the 6th floor, rooms 605/610.”
In other words, if you´re able to visit the PAX West event (Seattle, WA Sep 2-5, 2016) then you could get a chance to play “ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove” on site (I hope that someone from our crew will be present at the PAX West 2016 event). And by the looks of the new trailer for the game, I bet that there will be quite a lot of people who will stand in the waiting line in-order to play the game asap (I would be one of them).
So, with that said, are you excited for “ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove”? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section down below!
“Coming in 2017 to PC and console.
Yo! Check it out… ToeJam and Earl are back on Earth once again, getting funky and running from those crazy Earthlings. Deja vu! (deja vu!) Here’s the basics… TJ decides it’s a good idea to “borrow” the Rapmaster Rocketship from Lamont (no point waking him up, right?), so he and Big E. can take Latisha and Lewanda out for a joyride. While they’re in orbit around Earth, maybe showing off just a little, TJ tells Earl to crank the bass on the speakers and “Press the RED button!” Unfortunately, that’s the button that says: “Black Hole – Do Not Press!!” (Doh!) You can pretty much guess the rest, TJ and Earl once again find themselves searching for the pieces of their Rocketship, collecting power-up presents left lying around by Santa, and dealing with the less-than-rational human beings.
Back in the Groove is a mash-up of the very best features from the classic console games (that’s one and two, y’all), with a pile of new features thrown in. The goal is to give old skool TJ & E fans a pure blast of funky nostalgia, and give new players a taste of the light-hearted, co-op play that is TJ & E.” – Adult Swim Games
