It’s pretty crazy how fast time goes you by when you’re having fun, because it feels like it was just yesterday that I wrote about Megagon Industries and their presentation of “Lonely Mountains: Downhill” at Gamescom 2017.

I really like the visuals and physics engine in “Lonely Mountains: Downhill” (I find that the game both looks and feels great).
Well, the truth of the matter is that I wrote that post about “Lonely Mountains: Downhill“ over two years ago (yikes!). So as you might imagine, quite a lot of things has happened since then in terms of the development process of “Lonely Mountains: Downhill” (the game is coming to PC sometime this year).
For starters, Megagon Industries launched a closed beta period for “Lonely Mountains: Downhill” just recently. That’s just the half of it though, because I just found out that Megagon Industries is bringing a pre-release demo of “Lonely Mountains: Downhill” to Gamescom 2019:
“Hey! We are very happy to present Lonely Mountains: Downhill again this year at the Gamescom 2019 in Cologne! If you want to get an exclusive insight into the complete game before the release, make an appointment for an individual conversation with us now. Just fill out the form using the link below.
Apart from the individual dates, selected tracks of the game can be played in the Indie Arena Booth (Hall 10.2, Booth 031G) as well as in the ID@Xbox Area (Xbox Consumer Booth, Hall 8) from 20 to 24 August 2019.
Lonely Mountains: Downhill will be released later this year 2019 für PC, Xbox One und PS4!” – Megagon Industries

There is no nailed down release date for “Lonely Mountains: Downhill just yet. However, the game is said to launch sometime this year for PC via Steam.
In other words, if you got any plans to visit the Gamescom 2019 event, then you could get a chance to play the latest version of “Lonely Mountains: Downhill” on site.
Other than that, Megagon Industries also told us the following in regards of what players can expect from the full release of the game:
“What to expect
Explore four epic mountain landscapes by bike, on challenging trails and with four different challenge modes. It’s a long way from the highest rocky peak to the green, tranquil valley and the basecamp. Defy the wild sandstorm or fight your way through the humid, dense fog.
Each mountain will make you sweat with its own challenges. Unlock new bicycles, paintwork and outfits piece by piece and prepare yourself for the coming route with the right bike. Jump down the trails in the risky Free Ride mode without a single crash (Good luck with that!) or explore the detailed low-poly mountain worlds more relaxed from checkpoint to checkpoint.
But don’t take too much time on the fast descents – the clock is running!”

Sadly enough. I did not get a chance to play the closed beta of “Lonely mountains” *sad face* However, I’ve heard a lot of positive things about the game from those who did get a chance to play the closed beta.
So, with that said, are you guys and girls excited about the announcement that “Lonely Mountains: Downhill” is coming to Gamescom 2019?
Well, let us know your thoughts in the comment section down below!
